Launchtrip is a fast-growing travel-tech company with offices in Vancouver and New York. Our company focuses on event-based travel and will be going live with a group booking platform in Spring 2020.

About the Role:

In the coming months, we will be launching an online magazine to accompany our travel booking platform. Our goal is to create a best-in-class digital publication that gains a dedicated audience and delivers users to our platform. We are looking for an energetic, innovative and all-around wonderful Managing Editor to join our content team to help realize this goal.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Editing and top-editing quick hits and longer pieces

  • Pitching/writing/assigning short form and long form articles on travel and travel-related topics

  • Writing and editing various forms of brand and company-focused content

  • Contribute writing, editing, and brainstorming to Launchtrip campaigns as the need arises

  • Collaborating with marketing, sales and partnership departments on a variety of projects

 

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Outstanding writing and editing skills

  • Minimum five years experience in content production or editorial

  • Ability to manage writers both in-house and freelance

  • Can ensure a high quality of writing and a consistent brand voice

  • Excellent time management skills, organisational abilities and a keen eye for detail 

  • Advanced understanding of analytics, SEO and performance optimization 

  • Experience using a CMS to publish a diversity of content at scale

  • Corporate copywriting experience a major plus

  • Ability to ghostwrite - experience in this field is a plus

  • A knack for creating content that starts conversations and delivers acquisitions
